Overview

Digital Morse (morse-code.co.uk) is operated by Space Bits, S.L. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and how it is used.

What we collect

Using the Morse code translator, decoder, alphabet, numbers and SOS pages does not require any personal information and does not set any cookies.

If you use the Morse Code Challenge, the site stores a random, anonymous identifier in a cookie on your device, and keeps aggregate statistics linked to that identifier: your current level, the number of questions answered, how many were correct or incorrect, and your current and best streak. We also store each individual attempt — the character or word shown, and the answer you gave, broken down letter by letter — so that per-character accuracy can be calculated and, if you get something wrong, we can show you exactly which letter tripped you up. None of this identifies you personally, and we do not ask for or store your name, email address, or IP address alongside this data.

Third-party resources

Some pages load fonts, styling and script libraries from third-party content delivery networks (Google Fonts, jsDelivr, and the jQuery CDN). Loading these resources may expose basic technical information, such as your IP address, to those providers, in line with their own privacy policies. We do not control and do not receive this data ourselves.

Analytics and advertising

We do not currently use any analytics or advertising services on this site. If this changes in future, this page will be updated in advance.

Data retention

Game statistics are kept for as long as the anonymous session cookie remains valid (up to 12 months), or until you clear your cookies, whichever happens first.

Your rights

Because the game statistics are not linked to your identity, we have no way to find or delete data belonging to a specific person on request — clearing your cookies removes your local identifier and effectively starts a new, unlinked session.
